Experimental Studies: recent_highlight

A wide range of experimental studies has been undertaken utilising more sophisticated in-house optimised imaging biomarkers including both Ultrasound and MR based elastography, as well as Dynamic contrast enhanced DCE-MRI, Diffusion weighted DW-MRI, Pulse Wave Velocity MR-PWV, MRS and MR-R2* measurements across a range of tumour types, both for prediction and response assessment.

An initial evaluation of MR Fluoroscopy for neonatal vesico-ureteric reflux has been completed. BRC funded studies of CT perfusion measurements in liver transplantation and a PET Fluoride comparative study for detection of renal bone metastases are planned. Novel MR and PET based biomarkers for significant carotid and aortic diseases continue to be studied.
